Aha,
The solution is very simple

one of the following should work:
1. Login to the administrator not a user name with the admin permission, no but login with The Administrator User name

2. if this didnt help, then right-click on the folder wwwroot or test and click on properties, then goto security tab, then put the allow for every thing for every user,
i would like to show you the steps with pictures, but i am in middle of final exams, and dont have the time to do it,

so this is the idea, try doing it

by the way, i had the same problem and many other problems with ASP in Windows XP, thats why i never program ASP in XP i always use 2000

so if you have the chance to goto 2000 i would recommend that, cause XP has many security stuff that will prevent you from using many features

Hope this helps

Best Regards

I tried both but it did not work.

Could there be something with the IIS.

Is there a other program which can simulate a localhost.

Can I download the latest version of IIS

You should have the latest, since u r working on xp pro.

i have an idea,  try the following code, and tell me if it gets the same error

run the page with this line

Set fs = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")

if it didnt get u any error that  means the component of the FSO is not installed correctly on ur pc or its not registered.

if it gave you the same error

uninstall IIS, restart ur computer, reinstall it, and then restart ur pc

and then it should work

Best Regards
