I have a simple ASP page that checks a user's login info is correct.  If I run the file from my server the first time, everything comes out fine.  However, if I try to rerun the page from another browser seconds later, I get an error:

Error Type:
Provider (0x80004005)
Unspecified error
login.asp, line 12

Line 12 in my case is:
adoConn.Open "Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)}; DBQ=C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\IMI\StudentData.mdb"

If I understand correctly, basically it seems like the connection was never closed from the first page.  However, at the end of my ASP page, I have

Set adoConn = Nothing

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Chris

permissions to the database folder or even an invalid path to the mdb file could cause that error

even though it works once it could still be a permissions issue because it might not have all the rights it needs and it gets locked

Windows Server 2003 and Permissions
Windows XP Pro and Permissions.

you must type

adoRs.close
set adoRs=nothing
adoConn.close
set adoConn=nothing

where adoRs is the objec of the record set if you where using record set,  if not just take out the first two lines
