I would like to have an ASP page have a hyperlink to a document, but instead of opening the document I want it automatically copied to a section on their hard drive. This is for internal use it is for .dot that has a macro that needs to be run by certain people, but not all. So to cut down on the work we will put a link on the intranet and have it install itself. PLEASE! HELP!

You can make the file download automatically by streaming the file with ado. search www.aspin.com for stream

However, I don't think you will be able to automatically make the file save to a particular location from a web page. The user is going to have to choose the location on their drive.
